ruby-childprocess software package provides Ruby library for controlling external programs running in the background, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-childprocess
ruby-childprocess is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-childprocess package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-childprocess *
You will get with ruby-childprocess package name, version, architecture and description in a table
